FROM THE south SHORE TO THE hudson VALLEY
South Shore Bar Pizza (SSBP) was born in the taverns and cafes along the small stretch of coastline between Boston and Cape Cod.
After living in NYC and now the Hudson Valley, we’ve spent the last ten years perfecting our take on the SSBP, made with a slow-fermented sourdough and the best local toppings we can find.
It’s a thin, 10-inch pizza cooked in a well-oiled pan, with crushed tomato sauce and a cheddar cheese blend spread to the edge. As it bakes, the toppings caramelize against the pan, creating a distinctive crispy edge known as “lacing.”
The result is a uniquely crisp pie that’s perfect for sharing with friends over a cold beverage and good conversation. Middleborough is named after our hometown in Massachusetts, where bar pizza is king.
